Up for this week is a restoration to a fiberglass fairing , pinstripe, and tab along with a front fender repair.. Sometimes saving a part can help in the long run ...
Heres where epoxy resin with glass fabric will get a better grip then this prior repair that seems to have let go. A commom mistake is to use regular fiberglass resin to try to bond to other already cured resin. |

Epoxy resin has a 1 to 1 mix ratio compared to a sprinkle of "cat" type hardeners.
Just a little is mixed with a few glass strands to locate the tab in it's spot at first.. It is held in place for a few hours in manageable steps adding pieces instead of all at once. |

A ground coat of some light gold both for the stripe and setting the tone for the red that is next.
