Here's those fenders after a light helper coat of Iceing glazing putty has been shaped.
Next a couple coats of PPG's 285/280 epoxy primer will build and level .

After a few pulls with the pins a vixen file helps to level as well as spot out remaning highs/lows. Bodyfiller is ok but not a as much as it had... A final sand with 80 grit cleans and preps for filler.

Thought I was tired but I was off my game with a chest cold a couple days there...
Back in the swing of things now though, whew , we'll get this tank in primer this weekend. I talked to Amy the pin stripe lady today and reserved some time this coming week for the stripes so we need the black on there shortly.

Now while the epoxy primer on the tank cures we'll get the undersides of the fenders preped so they get paint before the show sides.

With a black guide coat misted on the primer any lows will be highlighted. I put 3 healthy coats of PPG's 280/285 epoxy primer so there should be enough to level in the bodywork. If not we'll refill with a little Icing. With black things need to perfectly level.
