Have you ever tried the stripper in a spray can?
Nice, , it'll spray a even layer of stripper into areas that would be tough to brush on.

Heres some pics from today,,They are of a couple early BMW bikes they had in the back at San Jose BMW. I don't know what models they are had a camera in my hand so got the shots The spray can flat black shortcut seems common on these old bikes till they get real paint on them, mabe cause the engines are as cool as paint to look at

For todays update the report is another night soaking in stripper and then a couple hours of sand blasting next..

With everything stripped it's time to treat for rust with Rustmort* conditioner. There was only a surface rust under the fenders and in the tail light housing. All in all the metal is in good shape and almost ready to sandblast resurface the bodywork and prime over the weekend I got a pic of the previous bondo work on the right side of the tank. It's coming off too. Taking everthing to bare metal assures a no surprises later...

With the parts stripped ,sandblasted, rust treated it's easy to spot wear and tear from previous paint jobs...Icing filler goes on to help smooth out the bigger waves before an epoxy primer..

a form of meditation takes over...heres the only "hidden" damage that was under the bondo on the tank.

a bit of metalwork on the tank will reduce need for bondo..
Heres a cool tool. It's a air powered rivit gun that doubles as a pin puller with a slotted piece of angle iron , pull the trigger and it pulls the dent...
