The bumper fit up good and then it was time to look at the hood.
These parts were "jambed" or painted on their back sides in the openings first so after painting from the outside they'll be nothing missed

Now heres the good part...The hood wasn't bowed at all. When the accident happened the hood jumped up on the fender and bent the edge by the windshield down. It gave the apperance of a bent or bowed hood. With a small slide hammer hook I just pulled it back up. I'll just need a light for the bumper and a headlight door (cover) and spritz a bit of paint and down the road she'll go

Nice job milo.. I see you sprayed the cover on the car. Does the PPG have a flex additive?

PPG does offer a flex additive for flexible parts. It was not used in this case. It is designed to allow the paint to "flex" while parts are moved into place and put on the car. They (PPG) lay no claim that it will countinue to flex after 60 days or so. That being said the key is still prep ,prep ,prep and no excessive paint thickness. In this case the bumper was fitted to the car and even the lights were put on prior to final paint. The openings for the lights as well as jambs (gaps) were painted prior to being installed. No chance of scratching new paint if your not touching it while putting illfitting parts together Now to pull the paper and tape then move on to something else.

It's a judgement call on the flex additive. Here we had a low budget repair with the dreaded aftermarket parts that needed to be adjusted in order to have them fit. No way was I gonna take them off after the hassle of getting them to fit:
