First pull pins are welded to it to help get it straightened out for paint.
Looking forward to doing a wide monster stripe or something across the center of the panels in silver with a unknown as of yet orange. In the 2nd picture a magnet shows the tank is not aluminum and the pins will weld on for pulling. |

I think you should just leave it with the pins in. It looks like art. HAHAHA.

http://www.a2zautoforums.com/showpo...80&postcount=63 Now with that out of the way and with the rest of your parts on hand we can go to town on it Here's some pics showing heat shrinking. When ever metal gets streched in and then streached back out theres to much metal left over so it will appear to buldge. It has to be shrunk back down to size so it can resume it's original shape. Then just a little filler is used to smooth out the repair. First a hot spot from the tourch set kinda mild followed with a quench of cold water on a rag .. carefull here, it'll only need a little bit.. |

Now the left is like the right lol... minimal filler will coax it the rest..
When ever useing weld on pull pins on a gas tank..ALWAYS carfully/slowly grind them to remove them. If you wiggle them off like when doing a car fender you will get a pinhole instead of might get a pinhole. (Trust me on this one ) |
